MANILA, Philippines – With the objective of making access to government services more convenient, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally led the unveiling of the Bagong Pilipinas eGov PH Serbisyo Hub marker at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center.
The City of San Juan, under the leadership of Mayor Francis Zamora, has dedicated the entire second floor of the center exclusively for the hub benefitting not only San Juaneños but also residents of Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
The event marks a major step forward in the Marcos administration’s push for digital transformation, as the physical hub is complemented by the launch of the eGovPH Super App, a one-stop digital platform that consolidates essential services from multiple national government agencies.
During the launch, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary David Almirol gave a live demonstration of the app, showcasing how users can conveniently access almost all government services in one seamless application.
The eGovPH Super App allows users to store all their government-issued IDs, pay taxes, request clearances and certificates, and process other government transactions without the need to visit multiple agencies.
Several key national officials joined the historic occasion, including:
* DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla * DILG Undersecretary Marlo Iringan * DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda * DICT Undersecretary David Almirol * DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon * DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac * DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa * NBI Director Jaime Santiago * Philhealth President and CEO Edwin Mercado
The EGOV PH Serbisyo Hub houses satellite offices of key national agencies, enabling clients to transact with various departments under one roof.
This physical-digital tandem is envisioned to reduce red tape, cut down processing time, and ensure that government services are truly felt by ordinary citizens.
Mayor Zamora emphasized that this initiative is part of San Juan City’s continuing commitment to innovation and good governance.
“I would like to thank you, Mr. President, for establishing the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub here in our Makabagong San Juan Local Government Center, which we envisioned to be a one-stop shop for national government agencies and offices, which will enable our constituents to have direct and convenient access to essential social services right here in the heart of the Makabagong San Juan Government Complex,” Zamora said.
“The government of the Philippines has finally moved into the 21st century and that is with the eGov app. This makes things much easier,” Marcos proudly said.
The launch of the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub and the eGovPH Super App marks a transformative milestone in the delivery of public service, reinforcing the government’s resolve to modernize and improve the lives of every Filipino.
